Company History & Profile

MSW Plant Hire is a family-owned business, operating since 1989. We specialise in trench digging and offer services for rock sawing, directional drilling, cable ploughing and pit & pipe installation.

After Director Mark Windberg purchased his first Ditch Witch trench in 1987, he recognised a gap in the market. He wanted to provide specialised trenching equipment that far out-weighed traditional excavation methods by increasing productivity and cost-efficiency.

MSW Plant Hire has grown from supplying trenching equipment and services to local electrical, communication and plumbing companies to working in large civil, construction and earthmoving sectors, local and state governments, land developers & irrigation and communication specialists Australia wide.

The company has grown rapidly since 1987, including a change in premises, the purchase of further specialised trenching equipment and focusing on providing education on the benefits of chain trench diggers, vibratory ploughs and rock saws.

Further expansions saw MSW Plant Hire extend their services to include subsoil drainage equipment, turf maintenance equipment, site equipment, and mechanical services for trenching equipment.

All our equipment is maintained and exceed the manufacturers service requirements. Risk Assessments, service records, operators’ manuals are provided with all equipment

Our large range of specialist trenching equipment can be supplied by either wet or dry hire for short or long term, temporary or occasional use for a cost-effective solution.
